Developmental works / programmes R&B:

The total funds earmarked for construction , maintenance of important bridges, buildings and roads is of the order of Rs.10.00 crore and so far twenty (20) minor bridge and 9 major bridges have been completed and 17 minor bridge and 27 major bridges are under construction under various programmes, out of which following bridges are of great importance :-
1. Brazloo Bridge
2. Nihama Bridge.
3. Akoora Bridge
4. Danter Bridge.
5. Kanganhal Bridge.
6. Larkipora Bridge.
7. Hillar Bridge.

Besides the following buildings and bridges have been completed in the district:-
1. Rural Dev. Complex at Brakpora, Ang.
2. Hr.Sec.School Dooru .
3. -do- Dialgam Bridges:- 1. 1x15' span Anchidora Anzualla road -do-
4. 19' span Wopzan bridge Km 6th -do-
5. 1x20' span bridge on Sirigufwara Khiram Km 7th -do- 3. 1x13' span bridge on Thajiwara Krandigam road -do-
6. Langbal Bridge 1x55' span -do-
7. Karshangam bridge 1x40' span -do-
8. 1x20' span bridge on Achabal Shangus Chittergul road -do-
9. Bidhar Bridge 2x65' span on Vailoo Deesu road -do-
10. Larnoo bridge Km 3rd D.L.L.road -do-
11. Areh Bridge -do-

   Under NABARD loan assistance there are 25 schemes in road sector presently under execution in the district with a projected cost of Rs.3278.23 lacs out of which funds to the tune of Rs.770.72 lacs has been released by NABARD. These schemes are likely to be completed by the end of 2001-02. Under Education sector 67 school buildings have been constructed and 53 are under execution.

Irrigation:-

14 important Irrigation schemes are under execution in Irrigation sector at an estimated cost of Rs. 6177.00 lacs and expenditure to the tune of Rs. 1858.62 lacs has been incurred ending 3/2000

P.H.E. :

Under PHE Sector 7 important schemes are under execution against an estimated cost of Rs.667.12 lacs and so far Rs.242.00 lacs stands incurred on these schemes. The following are the important schemes under operation with PHE Department :- ( Amount in lacs.)

Health:

  Under Health sector there is one District Hospital, 5 Sub-Distt.Hospitals, 65 Dispensaries, 33 Pry. Health Centres, 197 Family welfare centres and 39 other institutions.
